A message to students from President Di Pasquale

Sept. 10, 2009

CCRI President Ray M. Di Pasquale

Welcome to the start of a new semester at the Community College of Rhode Island! On behalf of the faculty, staff and administration, I hope you are enjoying your first week of classes and are settling into your college routine. You are one member of a community of more than 17,000 students and 54,000 alumni. As the new semester begins, I encourage you to get involved in student clubs and activities at our campuses.

Over the summer there were a number of exciting initiatives on the Warwick and Lincoln campuses and I want to bring two of them to your attention. The Knight Campus library was refurbished with new Mac computers, energy-efficient lighting, paint and carpet, and in Lincoln, the dental assisting lab received a facelift and new, state-of-the-art equipment for student use thanks to funds raised through the Imagine capital campaign.

I look forward to your accomplishments this semester and in the future. You are at the right place to change your life and achieve your dreams and I thank you for choosing CCRI as your institution of higher education.
