'Breaking Out of the Man Box'

Author, educator and activist Tony Porter presented his challenge to traditional manhood and male socialization in “Breaking Out of the Man Box” on April 12 at the Flanagan Campus. Porter discussed how the “Man Box” perpetrates sexism and inequality, and how embracing and promoting a healthy, respectful manhood can prevent dating violence, sexual assault and bullying. The presentation was sponsored by the Nonviolence Club, the CCRI Gender Equity Initiative and Men Taking Responsibility (MenTR) group.
