Dr. George Veyera, associate dean of engineering, speaks at engineering club event
The CCRI Engineering Student Association (ESA) hosted Dr. George Veyera, associate dean of engineering and student affairs at URI. He talked about transferring to URI in STEM related fields. In addition, he spoke about the international engineering program that allows students from almost any major at URI to major in a language and another degree of their choosing. The specialty of the program allows a student to go abroad for a year for school and a paid internship. Lastly, after completion of the program, graduates have close to a 100 percent job placement rate.
