Knight Student Government will host ‘Trunk or Treat’ event Oct. 29

Oct. 6, 2017

The Community College of Rhode Island Knight Campus Student Government invites children and their families to a “Trunk or Treat” community trick-or-treating event from 5 to 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 29, in the faculty/staff parking lot at the Warwick campus.

Members of the CCRI community will decorate their trunks, dress in costume and hand out candy. More than a dozen costumed cosplayers from Rhode Island Comic Con are donating their time to distribute candy and take photos with children. The crew from the USS Narragansett, NCC-75017, an official chapter of STARFLEET, the International Star Trek Fan Association, also will be on hand giving out treats.

Food will be available for purchase from three food trucks, Friskie Fries, Baby’s Bonetown BBQ and Sarcastic Sweets, all of which waived their booking fees for this community event, and Warwick Fire Department’s Engine 9 will offer a touch-a-truck opportunity. There will be games, prizes and more. The grand prize for best trunk is two, three-day passes to Rhode Island Comic Con.
