Live Meeting FAQs

How do I join a meeting?
  • From the e-mail Inbox, open the meeting invitation.
  • Or, in your calendar, open the meeting item.
  • Or, from the e-mail invitation or the calendar item, click Join the meeting link.
How do I connect to Computer Audio?

If meeting requires Computer Audio, the default is on for audio when joining the meeting.

  • If the audio is not on, click Voice & Video
  • Click Join Audio.

To mute the speakers/microphone

  • From the Voice & Video pane, click Mute Microphone or Mute Speakers icon 
How do I  join a phone conference when calling the conference call number?

To view the Phone Conferencing information for the meeting

  • Click Voice & Video
  • Click the Join Audio drop-down menu
  • Click View Call-In Details
  • Using your phone, call the conference call number, then supply the participant code when prompted by the conference calling service
How do I join a phone conference by having Live Meeting call me?
  • Click Voice & Video
  • Click Join Audio drop-down menu
  • Click Call me
  • From the Join Conference Call dialog box, enter phone number where the service can reach you.
  • Click Join Conference Call. Live Meeting integrated audio will call the phone number that you specified. Pick up the phone you will be prompted to supply your name so that it can announce your arrival in the meeting.
How do I join a phone conference that uses Internet Audio Broadcasting?

If the meeting requires Internet Audio Broadcasting, the default audio is on when joining the meeting.

 If audio is not on

  • Click Voice & Video
  • Click Join Audio.

 To mute the speakers/microphone

  • From the Voice & Video pane, click the Mute Microphone or Mute Speakers
  • icon.
How do I connect to video if main video is not visible?
  • Click Voice & Video
  • Click the webcam icon
  • Click Show Main Video
How do I connect using a webcam?
  • Click Voice & Video
  • Click the webcam icon
  • Click Start My Video
How do I stop showing the video?
  • Click the webcam icon
How do I record a meeting?
  • In the meeting client, click the Recording pane
  • Select the To My Computer tab or To Service tab, depending on where you will save your recording.
  • Click Options, and in the Personal or Shared Recording Options dialog box
  • Select what you what to record
How do I save the recording to my computer?
  • In the Personal Recording Options dialog box, click Change
  • Select where on your computer you want to save the recording.

Do one of the following:

  • To save your setting and record later, click OK.
  • Or, to start recording, click Record.
How do I stop, pause, or save a recording?
  • In the Recording pane, click Pause or Stop
  • If you clicked Stop, to save the recording, in the Stop Recording dialog box, click Save Recording

 ** After you save a recording, it will be available within approximately 24 hours, depending on the content and duration of the recording. **

How do I view a recording that is saved to my computer?
  • Click the Start menu on your computer
  • Click All Programs, click Microsoft Office Live Meeting 2007
  • Click Microsoft Office Live Meeting Recording Manager.
  • In the Live Meeting Recording Manager dialog box, under Recent Recording, right-click on the recording name
  • Select Play
How do I view a recording that is saved to my Live Meeting conference center?
  • Log on to Live Meeting Manager
  • From My Home page, under View, click Recordings
  • Under View recording, in the ID and Recording Key boxes, enter the recording ID and the recording key, separately
How do I allow another person to view a recording that is saved on my computer?
  • Copy the recording files from your computer onto a network share
  • E-mail the link to the shared location to allow users to view the recording
