Polycom Videoconferencing System
Polycom is a two-way videoconferencing system which allows students, faculty and staff to communicate with one another while staying close to their campus location. These facilities can be used to conduct meetings, job interviews, and classes. Polycom makes it possible for people at different sites to partake in the same conference at the same time through the "magic" of two-way audio and two-way compressed video. Because of special cameras, viewing monitors, and microphones at each location, you will be able to interact with others at distant sites as easily as you can with those located at your own site.
Instructional Technology-Media Services will provide specialized training for faculty members interested in using the Polycom system. To arrange for training or to reserve class time in one of the Polycom rooms, please contact Gene Grande at 333-7031. In order to allow enough time for training and scheduling, please make your request as far in advance as possible. Scheduling of rooms is dependent upon availability.
