Star of Discovery Channel's shows: "Prototype This" and "Time Warp"
A career in science is not always about lab coats and test tubes.
Sometimes there are robots -- and explosions.
Andrew "Dr. Zoz" Brooks is an electrical engineer and computer scientist who has shared his work in robotics on the Discovery Channel television show "Prototype This" and "Time Warp." He came to the United States from Australia to pursue graduate studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and became "Dr. Zoz" after receiving a Ph.D. in electrical engineering and computer science based on research into human-robot communication.
This presentation is designed to interest people regardless of their background in the sciences, discussing cutting-edge technology and how it may change our lives. Dr. Zoz will also show television footage of his inventions and experiments.
Tuesday, May 3, at 5:30 p.m.
Presentation in Room 2510 (Theatre)
Reception and Posters in Room 4090 (Board Room, 4th Floor)
