About the Networking Technician Certificate

Networks continue to expand in all aspects of our personal activities, in business, manufacturing, education and health care. This program provides a balanced coverage of technology fundamentals and networking technology. Emphasis is placed on operating principles, networking models, operating systems, internetworking components, industry standards, along with hands-on laboratory activities for developing practical problem-solving skills. Students develop the ability to configure local area networks (LANs) and internetworks using routers and switches. Courses that prepare the student to sit for the Cisco CCENT and CCNA exams are integrated into the program.

Note: All courses in this certificate can be applied to the Computer and Networking Technology A.A.S. degree (CNTD).
