Rave Emergency Alerts

The Community College of Rhode Island offers a service that delivers text messages and email messages to members of the campus community during emergencies and when adverse weather conditions affect normal campus operations. The text and email alerts are one component among the college’s channels of communication used in an emergency.

  • All students, faculty and staff are automatically enrolled in Rave Emergency Alerts email messages.
    • Students: If you supplied a cell phone number during enrollment in courses at CCRI, you will receive a text message through this system.
    • Faculty: You are enrolled in Rave Emergency Alerts email messages. If you would like to sign up for text messages, please visit the Rave Emergency Alerts registration page.
    • Staff: If you supplied a cell phone number in the MyCCRI portal, you will receive text messages through this system.
    • Non-CCRI community members: Register here.
  • To add or update your cell phone number please see our FAQs page.
  • Some smartphones, prepay or "minutes" cell phone plans may not work with the emergency notification system.
