How can I opt out/unsubscribe to the Rave Emergency Alerts?

As a member of the CCRI community, you have been automatically enrolled in the Rave Emergency Alert system. This system delivers text and email messages during emergencies and when adverse weather conditions affect normal campus operations and is used only in these situations. To opt out of text messages, you can login and delete the mobile number from your registered Rave account profile or text STOP to 67283 or 226787. Use the STOP command with caution as this will block delivery of all Rave text emergency messages. If you opt out, you will still receive email alerts to your CCRI-issued email account.

Who can subscribe/use the service?

All students, faculty and staff are automatically enrolled in Rave Emergency Alerts email messages.

  • Students: If you supplied a cellphone number during enrollment in courses at CCRI, you will receive a text message through this system.
  • Faculty: You are enrolled in Rave Emergency Alerts email messages. If you would like to sign up for text messages, please visit the Rave Emergency Alerts registration page.
  • Staff: If you supplied a cellphone number in the MyCCRI portal, you will receive text messages through this system.
  • Non-CCRI community members: Register here.

What is my username and password?

For faculty and staff the username should be the name that appears just before the "@ccri.edu" in the CCRI email address and for students it should be the name that appears just before the "@my.ccri.edu" in their email address . An example for faculty and staff is: jsmith@ccri.edu and an example for students is jsmith@my.ccri.edu. The password is set when you sign-up for the Rave Emergency Alerts service.

Can I register for Rave Emergency Alerts if I am not a CCRI student, staff, or faculty member?

What if my cellphone number changes?

For CCRI students, faculty and staff:

If you haven't added your phone number to the MyCCRI system, or you want to update it, you can do either by logging into the MyCCRI portal. This will automatically update your phone number in the Rave system.

To add or update your cellphone number in MyCCRI:

  1. Log in to your MyCCRI account
  2. Click on the "myInfo" tab
  3. Click on the "Update Addresses and Phones" link
  4. Click on the "Current" link next to the address
  5. Go to the "Phone Type" section of the form
  6. Select "Cellular or Mobile" in the drop-down menu and enter your phone number. Type only numbers; no dashes or other separators.
  7. Click the "Submit" button

What if my cellphone provider changes?

If you keep the same number, but change providers, you do not need to update anything.

Will my information be shared with third parties?

No. Your email address and cellphone number will not be provided to organizations outside of CCRI.

How will I identify incoming messages from Rave Emergency Alerts?

Users are encouraged to add Rave Emergency Alerts to their phone contacts. In the case of an emergency, the alert will display as sent from the college.
