Distance Education classes are not for everyone! Some people learn best through face-to-face interaction with instructors and fellow students. In a DL class, most, if not all interaction takes place through written assignments, discussion board messages and email.
While DL classes give you the freedom to complete educational goals while working and taking care of family responsibilities, it does require that you discipline yourself to meet course requirements.
Take the following self-assessments to determine if DL learning is for you, and review some of the challenges as well as comments of successful distance learners.
