Student Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of program, students are expected to (know and be able to do):

  1. Serve as competent, caring hygienists in the local patient community.
  2. Promote oral health and provide comprehensive dental hygiene services to the community.
  3. Assess the quality of patient services they provide.
  4. Practice lifelong learning to maintain and further increase the quality of services they provide.

The dental hygiene program is evaluated by the Commission on Dental Accreditation.
