Bicycle Jim Story

A PACE.2.Employment grad managed energy use for multiple buildings & locations, identifying energy saving opportunities & providing solutions, also providing training.    When he got laid off after several years of employment with the same company, he was very angry.  Although he is a highly skilled individual who essentially worked as an engineer, he does not possess a formal degree & his job search was a significant source of frustration.

He used the time he was unemployed to develop his interest in bicycles & has started his own business recycling/restoring and selling vintage bikes.  His business is self-contained in a shiny green painted & logo truck. He has secured a vending license and parking permits allowing him to set up shop at Rhode Island's various street fairs, beach parking lots, and festivals.   Although it is unclear if this business will be the primary source of income, or something that he pursues as a supplement to his income, he is passionate about the endeavor and is presently making money.  http://www.vintagebikesri.com/
