Food Manager’s Certification Program


Earn the nationally recognized food safety certification from the National Restaurant Association. In this state-approved 18-hour course, you will learn about food safety practices, proper food handling techniques, and highlights of the R.I. Food Code. Topics also include waste management, accident prevention and food safety systems. Fee includes the exam but does NOT include the RIDOH application fee.

The CCRI Food Manager’s certification program includes an additional three hours of in-class review and preparation for the certification exam.

$245 + $5 nonrefundable registration fee (includes textbook)

Food Manager’s Recertification Program

The Food Manager Certification must be renewed every three years. This six-hour course will satisfy the R.I. Department of Health requirements by providing you with a review of important food sanitation procedures and new requirements. Upon completion of the course, your R.I. Department of Health Certification of Renewal form will be signed.
