GED® Testing

The GED® Test

CCRI offers Official GED® Testing Centers at the Flanagan Campus in Lincoln and Liston Campus in Providence. The new GED® Test is designed to guide adult learners on the pathway to gain skills and knowledge to be successful in their academic and career futures.

The new GED® Test is the only nationally recognized high school equivalency test aligned to the Career and College State Standards. The new test will be delivered on computer, which allows same-day scoring with a score report for reporting and remediation. The Official GED® test is computer based and must be done at a GED® Testing Center. The GED® test consists of four content areas: Reasoning through Language Arts (155 minutes), Mathematical Reasoning (120 minutes), Science (95 minutes) and Social Studies (75 minutes). The price of each test is $30 each or $120 for all four tests.

Students are encouraged to go online to and set up a My GED® Account. The My GED® Account will guide test-takers through the entire testing process. MY GED® Account features jurisdiction-specific information, online preparation with selected study tools, registration, request for accommodations, schedule tests and retests, view and print enhanced score reports and study recommendations, order transcripts and diploma, and transition to college and careers information.
