Non-credit opportunities to acquire foundational academic skills in reading, writing, mathematics, and the English language.
This program offers career exploration and skills improvement for adults interested in training for a career in one of the state's high-demand industry sectors, including health care, hospitality, information technology and more.
ESL - English as a Second Language New classes have been added for spring 2016
Basic English classes for people whose primary language is not English.
CCRI offers a College Readiness/ Dual Enrollment for learners without a high school credential. This class enables a student to obtain the education they need to secure a good paying job to support themselves and their families.
CCRI hosts two state approved testing sites where individuals can take the GED® (General Education Development) exam in order to achieve a high school equivalency diploma.
The Center for Workforce and Community Education (CWCE) partners with five adult education programs providing transition or bridge to college and career programs for nontraditional adult students returning to academic life.
The Rhode Island Resource Hub gives adult users the ability to:
- Identify their workforce and education goals, levels, and preferences,
- Access resources within the RI Resource Hub
- Create an account and save resources for their next visit
- Develop and selectively share plans to achieve their goals.
