commencement The Bookstore is now accepting all faculty and staff cap and gown orders. Submit requests to the campus location where you will pick up your cap and gown. The deadline to submit orders is Monday, May 1.

Discussions on college police

We are committed to the safety of our students, our dedicated faculty and staff, and the community members we welcome onto our campuses. Many colleges and universities across New England and around the country have engaged their respective communities in discussions about whether or not to arm campus police. We believe now is the time for CCRI to do so as well.

Summer Accelerator scholarship program

The CCRI Summer Accelerator is a summer scholarship program designed to support current students in continuing their education and making faster progress toward degree attainment. Funds will be awarded on a rolling, first-come, first-awarded basis for eligible students.

Students direct series of 10-minute plays

Some Ten Words Long Theater students Trey Hendley, Jerry Middlemiss and Chelsea Titchenell each will direct two 10-minute plays in "Some Ten Words Long," chosen from the works of six Boston-area playwrights and performed from April 20 to 23 in Room 1120 at the Liston Campus in Providence.

You might have heard the terms “equity” and “equality,” but might not know how the two are different. Sometimes differences in our economic, ethnic or cultural backgrounds create barriers to participation. While we want to treat everyone equally, we also need to understand that equality doesn’t always translate to fairness or equal opportunity.

Saturday cafeteria hours have ended

Starting on April 15, the cafeterias operated by Lessing’s Food Management are no longer open on Saturdays at the CCRI Knight Campus in Warwick or the Flanagan Campus in Lincoln. We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause.

Currents is a blog with news and announcements for CCRI faculty and staff produced by the college’s Department of Marketing and Communications. Currents is published every other Tuesday under the “For Employees” tab in MyCCRI and on the Currents blog during the fall and spring semesters.
