Chinese (CHIN)
CHIN 1000 – Basic Spoken Chinese - 3 Credits

This is a one-semester course for beginners. Emphasis will be on correct pronunciation of basic vocabulary in everyday conversations. Dialogues for travel and other practical use will be learned. This introduction to modern Chinese (Mandarin) will prepare the student who never studied Chinese to use the language correctly within a limited context and to understand basic structure. Lecture: 3 hours
