The CCRI Cross Country team put together a solid showing Saturday morning at the Codfish Bowl Invite, held at Franklin Park in Boston. Ian Anderson (Warwick, RI) led the Knights for the second straight race, finishing in 79th place with a time of 32 minutes 41 seconds.
Much like the UMass Dartmouth Invitational, Jared Gruslin (North Smithfield, RI) finished immediately after Anderson, finishing in 80th with a time of 32:41 as well. Joe Gareri (Uxbridge, MA) was the Knights third runner in the race, placing 94th in a time of 34:15.
All three of CCRI’s runners finished with close to the same times as the previous week. This was impressive, considering the hot and humid conditions and a difficult course that featured little shade.
The Knights will be back in action this Saturday, when they host the CCRI Tri-State Open, held at the Flanagan Campus in Lincoln. The men’s race will get underway at 11:00 a.m., while the women’s race is scheduled for 12:00 p.m.
