Lady Knights to host Volleyball District Tournament!

The CCRI Lady Knights volleyball team will be hosting the District L Division II Volleyball Championships the weekend of November 9th-10th.  The 12-6 Lady Knights who are the Region XXI representative will host the Region XV, Region XIX and Region III Champions for a two day tournament for a berth at the 2013 NJCAA Division III Women’s Volleyball National Championship to be held at Owens Community College in Toledo. OH from November 21st-23rd.  The Lady Knights look to return to the National championship for the first time since 2008 under Head Coach Ray DeAngelis.
The tournament participants will be the CCRI Lady Knights (12-6) from Region XXI, No. 11 ranked (NJCAA DII poll) Mustangs of Monroe College (31-6) from New Rochelle, NY as Region XV champion, the Cougars of Genesee Community College form Batavia, NY as Region III champion, and the Hawks Delaware Technical Community College (25-2) from Dover, DE as the Region XIX champion.
The tournament format will be double elimination best three-of-five match play.  The schedule for the Women's Volleyball Districts is as follows:
           Saturday November 9th
                10:00 AM                    Game 1     Monroe College (31-6) vs. CCRI (12-6)
                12:00 PM                    Game 2      Genesee CC (21-22) vs. Delaware Tech CC (25-2)
                2:00 PM                      Game 3            Losers from Game 1 and Game 2
                                                                                    *one team is eliminated*
                 4:00 PM                      Game 4            Winners from Game 1 and Game 2
Sunday November 10th
                10:00AM                     Game 5            Winner of Game 3 vs. Loser of Game 4
               12:00 PM                    Game 6            Winner of Game 4 vs. Winner of Game 5
               2:00 PM                       Game 7            If Necessary
