Allen outruns 123 NCAA runners to win Nassaney 8K!
Bobby Allen took first place against 123 Division I NCAA runners from around the Northeast. Allen finished in a time of 25 minutes 24.5 seconds. Allen led from wire to wire, out running Boston University’s Matt Paulson who put on a late race charge to finish just .6 seconds back in a time of 25:25.1. Allen held him off with an awesome finishing kick over the last 100 meters. Knights’ Head Coach Gregg Cornell commented “Bobby proved he is ready for the 2012 season with this effort.”
Also running for the Knights in his first running race of any kind was David Palkovic who held his own running a very respectable time of 31:17. Coach Cornell added “David has a great amount of natural ability and will improve on his time over the season. We hope to have more Knights ready to race next week at the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth Invitational.”
The next meet for CCRI will be Saturday September 15th when they will travel to North Dartmouth, MA to compete in the UMass-Dartmouth Invitational at 10:30am.
