Through this course, faculty learn over 50 new teaching practices and try out many in their classes.
Last year’s successful, three-day institute is back again and running on June 11-13 from 9 am-3 pm. Up to 20 faculty (full-time or part-time) will reconsider a familiar course through an exploration of learning outcomes, what makes an effective assignment, setting the tone for the class, and engaging with students. Each day will include a deep dive into teaching strategies, interactive activities, and individual reflection time.
At the end of the course, faculty who complete the course in good standing will receive a Certificate in Course Design. Full-time faculty who complete the course are also eligible for an honorarium of $300.
