Dr. Paulette Osterman - Nursing
Professor Osterman had 39 years of full-time service at CCRI achieving rank of professor in 1983. She received the Academic Nurse Educator Award from Rhode Island State Nurses Association in October 1997; Service and Common Ground for outstanding leadership in 2000 and received the NISOD award for excellence in 2006.
She was honored by membership in the Sigma Theta Tau-Nursing Honor Society in 1981and advised students in the Student Nurse Organization as a faculty advisor in the 1980s. She became nursing representative to Academic Advisory Committee 1983 to 1985; consultant to Social Science program for the development of a mental health technician course at CCRI and the development of an activities therapy course for geriatric institution and activities therapy course for geriatric institutions 1972 to 1977. She was Chairperson for Philosophy and Conceptual Framework Committee 1997 to 2000 and responsible for documentation for Program Design (AD and PN Program – NLNAC in 2003.
